Theresa Bear's Queer as Nature reflects on nature’s existence outside of human concepts of gender binary. Flowers, which are traditionally coded as feminine, burst out from within a masculine blazer. The dainty, lace glove is filled with heavy dirt. These juxtapositions allow us to conceptualize nature as something fluid and active, beyond any societally-enforced concepts of gender identity and presentation.
